Details
A native of Indiana, Jason A. Shartzer is the principal attorney at his own law firm that is based in Indianapolis. Providing representation to clients in Marion, Hamilton, Boone, Hendricks and Hancock counties, he focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation, assisting those who have been harmed both economically and noneconomically due to the negligence of other persons or entities. The types of cases that Mr. Shartzer has been involved in have arisen out of incidents involving dog bites, truck and other motor vehicle accidents, burn injuries resulting from fires or explosions, and premises liability.
Throughout his career, Mr. Shartzer has been able to obtain many high-dollar settlements and jury awards on behalf of his plaintiff clients, and his fellow professionals have taken note. He has been named to both The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 and The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, and he has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell as well as a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.
After studying at Tulane University, Mr. Shartzer transferred to Loyola University New Orleans and received a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1998. He then went on to pursue his legal education at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2002. After graduation, Mr. Shartzer joined a prominent Indianapolis plaintiff's personal injury law firm, and he remained there until opening Shartzer Law in January 2015. Admitted to practice before all Indiana state courts, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana. His professional memberships include the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.
