Details
Attorney Judy Hester is the principal at Brazill Hester, PC. Judy's legal practice concentrates on high conflict child custody cases and high asset divorces. She works diligently with her clients who need dedicated guidance in obtaining custody of their children, together with the most advantageous parenting time arrangements and child support orders. She similarly provides comprehensive advice for valuing properties, businesses, collections, and investments that must occur in dividing a marital estate. The law firm’s office is located in Indianapolis right off Mass Ave and the Cultural Trail. However, Judy not only serves a wide client base throughout the Indianapolis metropolitan area, but she also represents many clients on a daily basis in all of the surrounding counties.
Ms. Hester graduated cum laude in 1986 from Loyola University Chicago School of Law with her law degree, as well as with a Masters of Social Work from the School of Social Work. She has been a licensed attorney since 1986 and has been licensed in Indiana since 1999. Before founding Brazill Hester, PC and focusing her practice on family law, Ms. Hester sharpened her litigation skills necessary that now benefit her family law clients by practicing as a litigator in the international law firm of Seyfarth Shaw in its Chicago office. Thereafter, she served as In-house counsel for PNC Mortgage and managed its litigation nationwide.
In addition to being a seasoned litigator who advocates for her family law clients in the court room, Ms. Hester engages in collaborative law techniques in the firm’s family law practice. Specifically, she is a trained Collaborative Professional, a registered Domestic Relations Mediator, a skilled Guardian ad Litem, and an AFCC trained Parenting Coordinator.
Ms. Hester has been selected to the 2019, 2020, and 2021 Super Lawyer list and belongs to professional organizations, including the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Central Indiana Association of Collaborative Professionals, Indiana State Bar Association, Hamilton County Bar Association, Boone County Bar Association, and Hendricks County Bar Association. She is the past Chair of the ISBA Children’s Rights Committee (“CRC”) and the current Juvenile Law Representative for ISBA’s Family Law Section.
