Lavonna Derringer

Lavonna Derringer is an associate attorney at the law firm of Brazill Hester, PC located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Serving clients in the Indianapolis metro and the surrounding areas of Indiana, she focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters. She represents clients with matters involving divorce, custody, same-sex marriage and fathers’ rights, to name a few.

Ms. Derringer has a genuine concern for her clients who are going through a divorce or facing any other family law-related matter. She understands the impact these cases can have on an individual and provides the necessary support. Diligent and dedicated, she fights aggressively for their rights at every stage of their case. 

Graduating from the Indiana University Bloomington, Ms. Derringer obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and criminal justice with a minor in human development and family studies. She went on to pursue law at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and earned her doctorate in jurisprudence in 2018. 

In law school, Ms. Derringer was a member of the Family Law Society and the Criminal Law Society. She joined Brazill Hester PC as a law clerk in 2016 during law school and became an associate attorney in 2019 right after law school. She also has immense experience serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate at Child Advocates Inc. in Marion County. 

Licensed to practice in the state of Indiana, Ms. Derringer provides sound and knowledgeable counsel to her clients as well as advocates for children through her work as a Guardian Ad Litem. She is actively associated with the legal community through her membership with the Indiana State Bar Association, Family Law Council, and Children's Rights Committee.
