A partner of Cohen Garelick & Glazier, MaryEllen K. Bishop focuses her practice on estate, business and trust planning and estate and trust administration and probate and trust litigation. She represents clients in the greater Indianapolis area as well as throughout the State of Indiana.

Ms. Bishop graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 1979 and from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1982. Ms. Bishop has dedicated her career to assisting clients with all of their estate and trust planning needs. Over the past 30 years, she has repeatedly demonstrated a commitment to her clients by showing them the dedicated representation they need from their lawyer. She joined Cohen Garelick & Glazier in 2009. Ms. Bishop has published several articles on estate planning and probate, and she has taught several estate planning and probate courses for Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, which provides on-going training to attorneys in the state.  She is co-chair of the Midwest Estate, Tax and Business Planning Institute and is presenter for the Hoosier CLE Indiana Law Survey.

Ms. Bishop is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and Tax Court, the Supreme Court of Indiana, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. She is a Board-certified Indiana Trust and Estate Lawyer by the Trust and Estate Specialty Board, she attained an AV Preeminent* rating from Martindale-Hubbell – the highest rating conferred upon an attorney by this respected lawyer peer review system. Ms. Bishop is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation and a Master Fellow of the Indiana Bar Foundation.
