Mr. Cook completed his undergraduate studies in 1979, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University. He went on to attend the Valparaiso University Law School, where his academic prowess was evident throughout his time there, including when he was awarded the Vaughn Trial Advocacy Award. He received his Juris Doctor in 1982, and in the same year, he became licensed to practice law across all Indiana state courts.
Later on, Mr. Cook gained admission to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit. Verdicts / Settlements (Case Results)
- An electrical injury lawsuit was brought against IPL for failing to properly warning of high voltage electric lines on its property which resulted in a worker striking the line. The worker permanently injured his nervous system and developed chronic pain from CRPS. The jury found damages for the worker and his wife in excess of 20 million dollars and returned a verdict of $12,195,000 after adjustments were made for comparative fault., 2020
