Attorney Robert W. York is the founder and owner of Robert W. York & Associates in Indianapolis, Indiana. A highly versatile and nationally ranked attorney, Mr. York has more than 46 years of legal experience, and he provides unmatched representation and support to clients throughout Indianapolis and all across the state who have legal needs involving any of the following:

Over the course of his legal career, Mr. York has served as a deputy prosecuting attorney and administrative law judge as well as a special judge for many major felony trials. As such, he has invaluable knowledge and insight into the state's court systems, which only bolsters his ability to help his clients achieve the favorable outcomes they expect and deserve as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible in all Indiana courts.

A recognized leader in his field, he has published numerous articles and conducted lectures and continuing legal education seminars on a variety of legal topics, and served as editor for the Verdict Law Journal for 12-years. Furthermore, he has served as president and board member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and he has served as vice president and board member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, where he has served on a number of the organization's committees.

As further evidence of his leadership skills, he is a Distinguished Fellow with the Indianapolis Bar Foundation and a Senior Fellow with the Litigation Counsel of America, and served as chair of the Marion County Local Probate Rules Committee for 6-years. He is also a member of the Order of Justicia, the Diversity Law Institute, the Trial Law Institute and many other professional legal organizations.

A 1969 graduate of Indiana University - Fort Wayne, Mr. York obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis in 1973. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the U.S. Tax Court, 1984 and the U.S. Supreme Court, and he has served pro hac vice for the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming.
