Scott is the founder and managing partner of Scott Law Office and Mediation Center.  Mr. Scott's law practice is focused exclusively on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, including automobile, motorcycle and semi truck acccidents; wrongful death; traumatic brain injuries; nursing home negligence; dog bites; defective products; and unsafe premises and workplaces.  Mr. Scott is a recognized leader in the area of personal injury and wrongful death law.  He is a Past President of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), and a Past Chair of ITLA's Amicus Committee.  Mr. Scott is a frequent author and lecturer on issues concerning personal injury and wrongful death litigation, including presenting the Indiana Tort Law Update to the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum and ITLA for many years.  In 2004, Mr. Scott was named Trial Lawyer of the Year by ITLA, and he has over 25 years of experience practicing law.

    Mr. Scott first attended Wabash College, where he graduated with honors in 1989. While earning his undergraduate degree, he was a United States Senate Youth Scholar and a Lilly Scholar, and he studied abroad at the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies in Oxford, England.  Mr. Scott then attended Indiana University School of Law, where he obtained his law degree in 1993.  While in law school, Mr. Scott was a Jump Scholar, a member of the Order of the Barristers, an Associate Justice for the Moot Court Society, and he earned American Jurisprudence Awards in Administrative Law and Insurance law.

    In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Scott has been a registered civil mediator since 2004, and he frequently mediates cases involving personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice.  Mr. Scott is highly sought by plaintiff and defense counsel for his keen academic understanding of the legal issues, his ability to relate to plaintiffs and help them understand the strengths and weaknesses of their claims, his thoughtful and frank evaluations of liability and value, and his neutrality and fairness.
