Details
Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, Duran Keller is the founder of Keller Law that is based out of Lafayette. Devoted to protecting the rights of real people, he has a varied practice that encompasses consumer protection law, civil rights and helping injured people.Â
Mr. Keller attended Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Science in Management. He then enrolled at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, and he spent a year abroad studying international law at University College London before returning to Louisiana and obtaining his Juris Doctor. Mr. Keller is licensed to practice law in Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, and before various federal jurisdictions.
Many of Mr. Keller’s clients have been harmed by the fraud and carelessness of others, and he has obtained significant compensation on behalf of them. These include false credit reporting, unfair debt collection tactics, injury cases that have including dog bites, premises liability and motor vehicle crashes. In his consumer rights practice, he has helped people who have been the victim of violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act and other predatory practices by lenders and credit card companies.
Mr. Keller is a frequent lecturer, teaching attorneys ways to advocate for people. He also has taught for many years, including at Purdue University. Because there are very few attorneys that are skilled in the areas in which Mr. Keller regularly practices, Keller Law remains busy and as a result, cannot take most of the cases that the firm is asked to consider.
