An attorney and managing partner at Schad & Schad law firm, Matthew J. Schad represents clients in Kentucky and Indiana in personal injury cases. These include premises liability, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, motor vehicle accidents, truck wrecks, wrongful death, insurance bad faith and civil rights violations. Former trial counsel for the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Mr. Schad was also named the Young Trial Lawyer of the Year in Indiana by the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association in 2003, and he has recovered multiple settlements over a million dollars and completed more than 50 jury trials.
In 1990, Mr. Schad graduated cum laude from Indiana University Bloomington with a major in Ancient Greek, Latin and Classical Civilization. He then attended law school at Florida State University College of Law, where he graduated cum laude with his Juris Doctor and was named the Moot Court Team’s Best Oralist.
Mr. Schad is admitted to practice in the state of Indiana and the state of Florida. A past president and current member of the Floyd County Bar Association, he is a current member of the American Association for Justice and a board member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. His goal is to represent the everyday citizen who has been injured by the negligence and poor choices of another organization or individual.
