Attorney Kayleen Marie Teufel brings a heartfelt dedication to Langer & Langer, using her legal acumen to support individuals and families during vulnerable times. Her approach is marked by empathy, insight and sensitivity as she guides clients through family law matters.
Much of Ms. Teufel’s practice revolves around helping clients with custody battles, divorce proceedings, child support issues, adoptions and guardianships. She also has a knack for crafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and handling related legal challenges. Beyond family law, she is well-versed in estate planning and residential landlord/tenant issues.
Ms. Teufel's academic journey began with a degree in business management and leadership from Bradley University in 2016, followed by her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2019. Since being licensed in Indiana in 2019, she has been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
While in law school, Ms. Teufel gained invaluable courtroom experience as a law clerk for a Superior Court Judge in a neighboring county. She was actively involved in the Student Bar Association and took on internships with the Illinois Liquor Control Commission, Hammond Legal Aid Clinic and Valparaiso University’s Criminal Law Clinic.
Demonstrating her dedication to the local legal community, Ms. Teufel has served on the board of the Porter County Bar Association for several years, ultimately leading as president in 2022. She also co-chairs the Porter County Family Law Section and the Porter County Local Rules Committee for family law.
Ms. Teufel embodies the essence of a dedicated professional, standing steadfastly by her clients as they navigate life's challenges.
