Dedicated to helping families navigate complicated legal issues, Kyli L. Willis is an attorney at Buchanan & Bruggenschmidt, P.C.. She works with clients in Indianapolis, as well as throughout Central Indiana, on all family law matters, such as divorce, custody, and adoption. Using effective communication, Ms. Willis keeps clients informed of their options and steers them toward a favorable solution.
Ms. Willis has been licensed to practice in Indiana since 2010. Prior to that, she was a social worker, after graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and criminology from Ball State University in 2003. She earned a Juris Doctor and graduated magna cum laude in 2010 from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
At the start of her career, Ms. Willis worked as a staff attorney for the Marion County Department of Child Services, before transitioning to private practice, focusing exclusively on family law matters. Ms. Willis has been a CASA for Child Advocates and currently serves as part of the Hamilton County Guardian Ad Litem Program. She represents teenager in Child in Need of Services cases in Marion County as part of the Direct Representation program at Kids Voice. As such, she is keenly aware of the sensitive nature of family law cases involving children. Further, she knows how to reach outcomes that are in the best interest of children.
Today, Ms. Willis is a member of organizations such as the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Family Law Section, where she serves as a member of the Executive Committee, the Indiana State Bar Association’s Family and Juvenile Law Section, and the Hamilton County Bar Association. Ms. Willis also serves as a contract attorney for the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Outside her practice, she is a volunteer for the Indiana Bulldog Rescue and an avid supporter of the Indiana Youth Group.
