Robert M. Livingston

Robert M. Livingston is a partner at the Stuart Tinley Law Firm LLP that is headquartered in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Admitted to practice in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, he represents people and companies throughout each of those states. Mr. Livingston is additionally admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

A highly-regarded courtroom advocate at both the trial and appellate levels, Mr. Livingston’s experience has encompassed personal injury and wrongful death litigation, insurance coverage, civil rights and construction disputes. His personal injury clients are people who have been harmed as a result of the negligence of other parties, and his cases in this regard have involved defective products, premises liability, workplace accidents, medical malpractice, and truck and other motor vehicle accidents. Mr. Livingston has been successful in obtaining significant compensation on their behalf through negotiated settlements as well as jury verdicts after trials.

Mr. Livingston’s construction experience has included the defense of contractors, design professionals, and owners in cases involving allegations of shoddy building performance and other types of defects. In his civil rights practice, he has represented people whose constitutional rights have been violated or who have been the victims of discrimination that is prohibited by the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
