Within a relatively short time practicing law, Amy Beck has made significant strides in becoming a pillar of leadership within her legal community, advocating for her clients with judicious legal representation. From the Fiedler Law Firm, P.L.C., in Johnston, Iowa, she is adept at handling myriad employment and labor law issues such as wrongful termination, employment discrimination and harassment, as well as civil rights matters.
Ms. Beck completed her undergraduate studies in 2012, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Drake University. During her time there, she served various roles at the Student Activities Executive Board, including as a public relations chair and executive officer. She then went on to attend the Drake University Law School, where she partook in many activities across many student organizations, with some notable examples including the National Moot Court Team, the American Association for Justice Mock Trial Team, the Criminal Law Society (treasurer) and Drake Law Women. In addition, she was inducted into The Order of the Coif.
After receiving her Juris Doctor and her license to practice in Iowa in 2016, Ms. Beck later became authorized to practice law in the state of Nebraska as well. She is admitted before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
Ms. Beck has been lauded by her peers and many prestigious legal organizations for her effective advocacy, including the Best Lawyers (Ones to Watch and Women in the Law), the National Trial Lawyers (Top 40 Under 40) and Showmark (Top Attorneys Recognized for Excellence). Furthermore, she holds a perfect “10.0” rating on Avvo and has also received the site’s Clients’ Choice Award.
A passionate member of her legal community, Ms. Beck is closely affiliated with numerous legal organizations, such as the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Iowa National Employment Lawyers Association (vice president), and the Iowa Association for Justice (board of governors). She is also a Polk County Bar Association member and has served as a former president of the Polk County Women Attorneys.
