Anna M. Mark

Anna M. Mark is a dedicated attorney who practices law across Kansas and Missouri, in the areas of workers' compensation, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability and medical negligence. Working with Mark & Burkhead, based in Mission, Kansas, her commitment to advocating for injured workers is deeply rooted in her family's union background, making her advocacy for blue collar clients a personal mission. Throughout her career, she has successfully navigated her clients through the complexities of the workers’ compensation system, ensuring they receive the benefits they deserve.

Ms. Mark grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, and demonstrated academic excellence early on, graduating as the valedictorian from Bishop Ward High School in 2009. She pursued higher education at Kansas State University, earning a degree in general business management and human resource management, graduating summa cum laude in 2013. Her academic journey continued at Washburn University School of Law | Washburn Law, where she actively participated in several organizations such as the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity and the Pro Bono Society. As the fundraising chairperson of the Pro Bono Society, she organized impactful events like the annual law school comedy show, showcasing her leadership and commitment to community service.

During her time at Washburn, Ms. Mark excelled in her studies, earning several CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for top papers, particularly in workers’ compensation. She graduated with honors in 2016, obtaining her Juris Doctor degree. Her academic achievements reflect her deep understanding and dedication to the field she now practices.

Ms. Mark is actively involved in numerous professional associations, including the Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association and the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, among others. Her engagement with these organizations, along with regular attendance at workers’ compensation and union seminars, underscores her ongoing commitment to professional growth and advocacy.
