Christopher T. Brown

Christopher T. Brown is an attorney and partner at Gyllenborg & Brown, P.A., in Olathe, Kansas. Mr. Brown focuses his practice on criminal defense and serves clients in Olathe and throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. He has experience at the misdemeanor and felony levels with cases involving arraignment, arrest, assault, battery, domestic violence, drug violations, alcohol violations, expungement, juvenile delinquency, murder, probation, sex offenses, theft and traffic violations.

Mr. Brown has 15 years of legal experience and practices before all Kansas state courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. Before joining Gyllenborg & Brown, P.A., he was an assistant district attorney in the Johnson County, Kansas, district attorney’s office. While in this role, he handled various misdemeanor and felony matters and later served as section chief of the office’s sex crimes and child abuse unit.

Since moving to the criminal defense side of law practice, Mr. Brown has received awards and honors for his accomplishments. He has been named one of the “top 100 trial lawyers” by the National Trial Lawyers and received client satisfaction awards from the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys multiple years in a row.

Active in the legal community, Mr. Brown is a member of the Johnson County Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Kansas and received his law degree from Washburn University School of Law.
