Marissa Mallon

A dedicated family law attorney, Marissa Mallon, helps clients navigate through divorce, custody and other complex domestic matters with compassion and clarity. She serves clients throughout Overland Park, Kansas, from her office at Roth Davies LLC, ensuring that her strategic and empathetic approach can help families manage the litigation process more effectively. Throughout her career, she has seen how stressful family law proceedings can be for families and offers legal advice to help them achieve their goals.

With her practice almost entirely centering on family law, Ms. Mallon handles a broad spectrum of matters from uncontested divorces and parenting plans to high-stakes litigation and intricate financial disputes. She regularly handles paternity and parentage cases, child support, spousal maintenance, premarital and postmarital agreements, and protection-from-abuse or restraining orders. Additionally, she manages stepparent, adult and consensual minor adoptions, along with judicial bypass proceedings.

Upon completing her undergraduate degree in political science from Northwest Missouri State University, Ms. Mallon transitioned to a career in law. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2021. During her law degree, she served as a legal intern, earning experience in drafting legal documents, legal research and writing, and client service. This experience laid the foundation for her current practice and her empathetic approach to family law.

Currently serving as secretary of the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Johnson County Bar Association, Ms. Mallon is an active member of the legal community. Additionally, she is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Johnson County Family Law American Inn of Court. Her straightforward communication, grounded guidance and her ability to stay composed even in emotionally charged situations make her a reliable counsel.
