Scott C. Gyllenborg is a former Assistant District Attorney in Johnson County, Kansas, and the founding partner of Gyllenborg & Brown, P.A. In the federal, state and municipal courts of Kansas, he represents clients accused of felonies and misdemeanors, including drug possession and distribution, crimes against persons and domestic violence, property crimes, and DUI. Scott also represents clients in matters involving parole and probation violations, arrest record expungements, and criminal investigations of all Kansas crimes.

Scott holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the states of Kansas and Missouri as well as the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, and the United States Supreme Court.

For eight years, Scott taught Trial Advocacy to second and third-year law students at the University of Kansas School of Law as an adjunct professor. He is a member of American Mensa and Mensa International and is a former trustee of his alma mater, the Barstow School in Kansas City, Missouri.

Scott is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). He is a past president of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF) and the Johnson County Bar Association (JCBA). He has served on the membership committee of the National Conference of Bar Presidents. Scott is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the Johnson County Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Kansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where he is chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee.
