Scott M. Adam

Scott M. Adam is a committed professional known statewide for his exceptional legal services and counsel provided to the people of Kansas. Practicing law in the state since 1991, he represents his clients through the firm Adam & McGrevey, P.A., in Overland Park, and assists them with a variety of civil litigation matters including medical negligence and malpractice, personal injury, construction law, insurance coverage, vehicular negligence and premises liability. 

Primarily focusing his practice on defending medical professionals and hospitals, Mr. Adam has maintained a streak in handling and litigating complex high-stakes cases. He has served as lead counsel in several hundreds of trials in the courtrooms across Missouri and Kansas and has obtained numerous verdicts and settlements in favor of the physicians, nurses and hospitals whom he represented. As a seasoned trial attorney, he understands the importance of translating complex medical or legal concepts to the jury and has quite efficiently strategized and won over juries with his simple yet persuasive communication skills. 

A graduate of The University of Kansas, Mr. Adam received his bachelor’s degree in business in 1988 and later his doctorate in jurisprudence from the university’s School of Law in 1991. He passed the Kansas bar exam the same year and earned his license to practice in the state and a year later, in 1992, in Missouri.

Widely respected in the legal community for his achievements, Mr. Adam was peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and was also honored by the American Institute of Legal Advocates by naming him as one of the Top 100 Litigators in Kansas.
