Dan Carman

With nearly two decades of experience providing top-quality representation, Dan Carman maintains consistency in his efforts to provide his clients with the peace of mind they deserve in their strenuous criminal law matters. Mr. Carman completed his undergraduate studies in 2001, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Davidson College, where he served as captain of the College Division I wrestling team and vice-captain of Kappa Alpha Order. With a desire to pursue a legal education, he enrolled at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law, where he was a part of the Kentucky Law Journal and president of the law school’s chapter at the Federalist Society. He received his Juris Doctor in 2005, and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice law in Kentucky. 

As a former prosecutor, Mr. Carman is innately familiar with the state’s tactics in numerous criminal defense cases, and as a former Marine, he is no stranger to high-pressure situations that require his full focus in devising strategies to resolve them. For his many contributions, he has been included in the Top 100 Trial Lawyers and Top 40 Under 40 lists by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Moreover, he holds a “Superb” rating on Avvo and hosts many positive client testimonials as well. 

Within his legal community, Mr. Carman is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Fayette County Bar Association, among many others. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
