James M. Yoder

An of counsel attorney at the Lexington, Kentucky, law firm of Todd & Todd since 2019, James M. Yoder focuses his practice on personal injury. His primary goal is helping people affected by someone else’s carelessness or negligence, but he also handles cases involving workers’ compensation, accidents, defective products, medical malpractice, car wrecks and wrongful death.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Mr. Yoder earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 2015. A recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law, he received his doctorate in jurisprudence in 2018. He was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board, a student-led organization aimed at providing exposure and helping students gain effective skills for trial advocacy through several competitions.

Before joining the Todd & Todd, Mr. Yoder worked as an associate at a law firm in Lexington focused solely on personal injury. He has successfully recovered millions of dollars for the damages incurred by his clients. He understands that the usage of a defective product may result in severe damage or even death to individuals, so he fights tenaciously for his clients.

Mr. Yoder holds a “Very Good” rating on Avvo and was also included on The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 list in 2022.

In addition, Mr. Yoder makes sure to stay well connected with the community by volunteering at the Amachi mentoring program and has been a member of the Kentucky Justice Association since 2017.
