Robert J. Benvenuti, III

A pillar of leadership within his legal community with over 25 years of experience, Robert J. Benvenuti III utilizes his expansive legal and practical knowledge at his clients’ behest, helping them overcome their complex legal challenges with grace and poise. At the law office of Barnett Benvenuti & Butler in Lexington, Kentucky, he primarily takes on legal cases pertaining to health care law and regulatory compliance, as well as contracting and procurement, and legislation and public policy, among many others.

Mr. Benvenuti completed his undergraduate studies in 1988, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the University of Kentucky. He went on to earn his M.P.A. degree from the University of Kentucky Martin School of Public Policy and Administration in 1991. With a fervent desire to pursue a career in law, he enrolled at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1998, as well as his license to practice law in Kentucky.

During his time in law school, Mr. Benvenuti’s shrewd legal acumen and talents were evident through his active involvement in many on-campus activities such as being a member of the National Moot Court Team and the Moot Court Board. Since obtaining his law license, he has gone above and beyond the call of duty to provide his clients with the peace of mind and respite they deserve, and he has garnered the adulation of his peers for his pristine, client-centric practice.

Mr. Benvenuti maintains close affiliations with many prominent legal organizations, including the Kentucky Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the American Health Law Association, as well as the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police. Outside his law practice, he is an active member of the Kentucky House of Representatives and currently serves as a ranking member and vice chairman of the Health and Welfare Committee.
