Theresa C. Gilbert

Attorney Theresa C. Gilbert is a partner with Gilbert Law Group PLLC in Lexington, Kentucky. A leader in her field, Ms. Gilbert has published articles and conducted lectures and seminars on a variety of legal topics, and she has served as legal writing instructor with the University of Kentucky College of Law as well as a member of the faculty of the university's Biennial Workers Compensation Institute. 

A 1975 graduate of the University of Kentucky, Ms. Gilbert received her Master of Arts in English from the school in 1979. She then attended the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 1990. While there, she received the Massie Scholarship, the Robert Hughes Scholarship, the Professional Women’s Forum Scholarship and the Academic Excellence Scholarship, and she served as articles editor of the Journal of Mineral Law and Policy.

Ms. Gilbert has served on the board of directors and president of the Fayette County Bar Association, and she is an active member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Kentucky Justice Association, among her other professional affiliations.
