David W. Carrithers

Representing clients in Kentucky in legal matters related to copyrights, trademarks, patents and intellectual property, David W. Carrithers is an attorney with Carrithers Law Office, PLLC. Before becoming an attorney, he worked for a time in industrial chemical engineering field and is now a registered patent attorney.

Mr. Carrithers is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. During his career, he has published written pieces for the University of Virginia and Northern Kentucky University.

At Georgetown College, he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry before moving on to the University of Virginia. Mr. Carrithers earned a Master of Science in chemical engineering there and then graduated from Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law with a Juris Doctor. While in law school, he earned awards in journalism, commerce and rotary, and was included in the Who’s Who in American Law Schools.

He is actively involved in a long list of professional organizations on top of providing high-quality legal representation to his clients. These include the following: the American Chemical Society, the Patent and Trademark Office Society, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Institute of Food Technologists, the Society of Plastic Engineers, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association. Recently, Mr. Carrithers represented Sports Saddle, Inc., Bourbon Country Products Inc. and Potpourri Group, Inc.
