Elizabeth McConahy Jenkins

Elizabeth McConahy Jenkins is an attorney with Jenkins & Wheatley Family Law in Louisville, Kentucky. A 1983 magna cum laude graduate of Colgate University, Ms. Jenkins led a successful career in business as a foreign currency arbitrageur on the Mercantile Exchange in Chicago and then as an actuary for a prominent insurance company.

Upon deciding to pursue her legal career, she then attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 1992. The Virginia State Bar admitted her to practice that same year, and the Kentucky Bar Association admitted her in 1995. She also holds her license to practice in the District of Columbia, and she is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the Kentucky Supreme Court.

Ms. Jenkins is an active member of the Virginia State Bar, The District of Columbia Bar and the Women Lawyers Association. She is also a member of the Jefferson County Family Court Divorce Practice Group, and she is a member and life fellow with the Kentucky Bar Association as well as member and fellow with the Louisville Bar Association, where she has also served as chair of the organization's Family Law Section.
