Elizabeth McConahy Jenkins is the Managing Partner of Jenkins & Wheatley Family Law in Louisville, Kentucky. Nationally ranked as an AV Preeminent® lawyer, Ms. Jenkins provides unmatched counsel and support to clients throughout the greater Louisville metro and surrounding area.
A 1983 magna cum laude graduate of Colgate University and a former college athlete, Ms. Jenkins led a successful career in business as a foreign currency arbitrageur on the Mercantile Exchange in Chicago, attended classes at the University of Chicago Business School and then worked in the actuarial division for a prominent insurance company. Upon deciding to pursue her legal career, she attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 1992
Along with handling all aspects of divorce, including complex property division, allocation of business interests, child custody and support, Ms. Jenkins prepares effective and comprehensive pre-and postnuptial agreements, wills and other estate planning documents. She also has extensive mediation experience and is regularly appointed by the family court bench as a parenting coordinator in highly contentious child custody proceedings.

Ms. Jenkins is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the Virginia Supreme Court and the Kentucky Supreme Court.
Ms. Jenkins is a member of the Women Lawyers Association, the Louisville Bar Association and the Jefferson County Family Court Divorce Practice Group, as well as life fellow with the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association where she has also served as chair of the organization's Family Law Section.
