Gregory J. Bubalo is the owner and managing partner of Becker Law Office PLC, a subsidiary of Bubalo Law PLC, in Louisville, Kentucky, widely recognized for securing substantial recoveries for victims of negligence. He represents plaintiffs in a broad array of personal injury matters, including motorcycle, motor vehicle and trucking collisions; medical malpractice and nursing home abuse; premises liability; product liability and medical device litigation; catastrophic injury and wrongful death; and large-scale mass tort actions.
Mr. Bubalo’s record includes headline verdicts and multimillion-dollar settlements. He obtained a landmark $17 million verdict in Indiana for a neurosurgeon who suffered career-ending injuries after a hospital slip-and-fall, and he has held drug and device manufacturers financially accountable in numerous cases. Since 2016, his work against pharmaceutical and medical device defendants has produced recoveries approaching $100 million. His accomplishments have been recognized by peers: he was named a 2022 “Lawyer of the Year” by The Best Lawyers in America, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for mass tort litigation/class actions (2021), belongs to the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and is board-certified in civil trial and pretrial practice by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
Having litigated complex mass tort and product liability matters across multiple jurisdictions and in federal courts, Mr. Bubalo regularly presents technical pharmacological and medical evidence to juries. He has been peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and rated “Superb” on Avvo.
Admitted to practice in Kentucky and Indiana and in several federal courts, Mr. Bubalo serves on the board of governors of the Kentucky Justice Association and is an active member of the American Association for Justice. Early in his career, he defended health care providers in medical malpractice suits, the experience he now employs to anticipate defensive strategies and strengthen plaintiffs’ cases.
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Bubalo and his firms contribute to community causes, including long-standing support for the American Red Cross and Becker Law’s recent “silver” sponsorship of the Wrapped in Red Gala. Governor Andy Beshear appointed him to the board of Kentucky Performing Arts, where he serves as chairman of the Kentucky Center for the Arts Corporation after previously acting as treasurer. He holds degrees from Illinois College and Indiana University School of Law.
