Liz J. Shepherd

One of the partners at the Kentucky-based firm Dolt, Thompson, Shepherd & Conway, PSC, in Louisville, Liz J. Shepherd is a personal injury attorney in the firm. She represents people throughout Kentucky and has been aiding primarily in matters involving medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, birth injury, product liability and nursing home abuse through the firm since 1993. 

An alumnus of Transylvania University, Ms. Shepherd holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and graduated in 1998. She later obtained her doctorate in jurisprudence from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. 

Ms. Shepherd was admitted to practice law in the state of Kentucky in 1991, and later, after almost two decades in West Virginia. She tediously litigates cases for her clients in various federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. 

Throughout her career spanning a few decades, Ms. Shepherd has gained immense experience and profound knowledge. She understands how even minor medical negligence, be it a delay in properly diagnosing or not providing the accepted level of post-surgery care, can affect a person and change the course of their life forever. Clients are her highest priority, and she ensures to make them feel at home and creates a comfortable and safe environment for them to share without any inhibitions.

Previously Ms. Shepherd was a member of the board of governors and also served as the president of the Kentucky Justice Association. She is also a member of several other organizations, such as the Louisville Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. She is also frequently seen lecturing and discussing topics involving medical negligence, auto insurance law and personal injury.
