As the founder of The Schafer Law Office, Michael Schafer represents clients in the state of Kentucky in matters of personal injury. These include premises liability cases, nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, wrongful death, brain injuries, truck wrecks and car accidents. With almost three decades of experience, he is personally involved with all his cases because he made a personal goal to provide best representation and the utmost attention to his clients.
Mr. Schafer is admitted to practice in the state of Kentucky, and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, the United States Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Mike is a graduate of Trinity High School. He went to earn a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and a major in marketing from the University of Louisville, he was then accepted to law school.
In 1985, Mr. Schafer graduated with his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. He is also a graduate of the Career Prosecutor Course from the National College of District Attorneys. An active member of the local legal community, he is a member of the Louisville Bar Association, the Kentucky Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.
A former president of the Academy of Justice, Mr. Schafer is also a member of the American Association of Justice and the Kentucky Justice Association where is is on the Board of Govenors and serves as District Vice-President for the Louisville District. An engaging speaker, he has presented to the Kentucky Justice Association, the Montana Trial Lawyers Association, the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, Various Chirpractic Groups and the Louisville Metro Police Department.
