Michele McKinney

Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Michele McKinney is a dedicated attorney at Straw-Boone Doheny Banks Mudd Catalano & McKinney, PLLC, where she focuses her practice on a broad range of family law issues. It includes divorce, child custody, domestic and child abuse, dependency, neglect, adoption, property settlement and child support. 

Ms. McKinney’s comprehensive legal education was completed at Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law in Highland Heights, Kentucky, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University, with a major in English, journalism, speech and a minor in criminology, specifically focusing on domestic violence.

Since her admission to the Kentucky Bar Association in 2015, Ms. McKinney has been an active member of the Louisville Bar Association's Family Law Section and the Women Lawyers Association of Jefferson County. Her commitment to family law is deeply rooted in her academic and professional background, which is enriched by her volunteer work and community service. She has served as the former president of the board for UP For Women and Children and has been a dedicated volunteer for CASA of the River Region and the Center for Women and Families.
