Ronald M. Wilt

Attorney Ronald M. Wilt is the managing partner of Wilt Injury Lawyers, LLC, a law firm in Louisville, Kentucky. Nationally recognized as one of the top trial advocates in the country, Mr. Wilt focuses his practice primarily on medical malpractice, birth and brain injuries, nursing home abuse, and other serious personal injury claims.

For the first half of his career, Mr. Wilt worked to defend the rights and interests of insurance providers, doctors, hospitals, nursing homes and other health care clients across the state against tortious claims. Finding far more reward in assisting plaintiff clients, he shifted his focus in 2007 to advocating on behalf of those adversely affected by a health care provider's negligence or wrongdoing.

Over the course of his career fighting on behalf of those in need, Mr. Wilt has secured millions of dollars in settlements and awards both at trial as well as through negotiations. This success has earned him a membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum along with numerous other accolades from his peers.

Among his most notable recognitions, Mr. Wilt holds an AV Preeminent peer-review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell along with consistent recognition from The Best Lawyers in America. Moreover, the National Trial Lawyers has included him into the Top 100 Trial Lawyers list in the country, and Louisville Magazine has selected him for inclusion into the Top Louisville Lawyer list for several years. He also received the Attorney of the Month Award for Kentucky from Attorney at Law Magazine along with many other awards for his impeccable professionalism and outstanding service.

A 1988 honors graduate of Earlham College, Mr. Wilt received a doctoral fellowship to study Psychology at Vanderbilt University. His passion for medical sciences helps bolster his effectiveness as a medical malpractice attorney, and he obtained his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1992.

A leader in his field, Mr. Wilt has published several articles and conducted lectures and seminars across his region on a variety of legal topics. He is also an active participant in his legal community as evidenced by his memberships with the Kentucky and Louisville bar associations, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the West Virginia Bar Association. Furthermore, he supports his local community through his service as a member of the board of directors for the Achievement Centers for Children.
