Ruth Wilkerson

Ruth Jean Wilkerson is an attorney with HP Law, in Louisville, Kentucky. Serving individuals and families throughout the greater Louisville metro area, including all of Jefferson, Oldham and Bullitt counties, Ms. Wilkerson currently devotes her practice exclusively to family law and provides the invaluable counsel and support her clients deserve as they go through their divorces.

In addition to helping her clients resolve their conflicts and reach agreements with regards to child custody and support, spousal maintenance, property division, and other related matters, Ms. Wilkerson also assists with adoption procedures.

Ms. Wilkerson graduated in 2007 from Transylvania University. She then attended the Appalachian School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 2010. The Kentucky Bar Association admitted her to practice that same year, and Ms. Wilkerson served as law clerk for the Fayette County Prosecutor's Office before taking the bar exam, and entering private practice.

Widely considered an emerging leader in her field, Ms. Wilkerson has completed advanced training sessions with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Institute for Family Law Associates, Louisville Bar Association Family Law section, and Kentucky Bar Association Family Law section. Active in her legal community, she is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers Association of Jefferson County.
