Scott P. Zoppoth

Scott P. Zoppoth is a business and commercial litigation attorney based in Louisville, Kentucky. The founder and principal of The Zoppoth Law Firm, he serves clients throughout Kentucky. Over his 35-year career, he has handled cases involving commercial, corporate, construction, intellectual property and securities law in courtrooms and before arbitration panels. 

In 1982, Mr. Zoppoth graduated magna cum laude from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, New York, with a bachelor’s degree in business and finance. He earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law Houston in 1985. Prior to founding The Zoppoth Law Firm in 1996, Mr. Zoppoth practiced at several private firms in Texas and Kentucky.

Qualified to practice law before all Kentucky and Texas state courts, Mr. Zoppoth is allowed to appear before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and 6th Circuits. 

A committed advocate for his clients across the state, Mr. Zoppoth uses his knowledge and skill to help them overcome their legal issues. He has represented clients at many hearings under the auspices of the American Arbitration Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. He takes extraordinary measures to safeguard his clients’ best interests and always does so with courtesy and professionalism.

Highly engaged in a variety of professional and social organizations, Mr. Zoppoth is an active member of the Louisville Bar Association and sits on the Kentucky Lawyer Referral Service advisory board. He considers his volunteer work with organizations like the YMCA of Greater Louisville and YMCA Safe Place Services as a chance to give back to the neighborhood.
