Attorney Thomas E. Banks, II, is a partner with the Straw-Boone Doheny Banks & Mudd, PLLC, law firm in Louisville, Kentucky. Serving clients throughout Kentucky and Indiana, Mr. Banks devotes his time and resources to helping families through their most difficult and emotionally challenging situations.

Highly rated and widely regarded for his tenacious trial advocacy skills, Mr. Banks strives to provide the highest level of legal representation possible to those he serves. After graduating from the University of Louisville in 2003 in the top 10 in his BSB class, Mr. Banks completed his pre-law requirements at Cornell University in 2004 before attending the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. He obtained his Juris Doctor in 2007, and that same year, the Kentucky Bar Association admitted him to practice. He is also licensed to practice in Indiana as of 2008.

Fully committed to his profession, Mr. Banks is active in many professional legal associations, including the Kentucky Bar Association and the American Bar Association, along with serving on the Indiana State Bar Association Civil Rights of Children Committee. He is also a member of the Louisville Pro Bono Consortium and the Kentucky Justice Association, as well as The Louis D. Brandeis American Inn of Court.

Mr. Banks has been either a Rising Star or Super Lawyer, selected by his peers, since 2015.

Mr. Banks is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a distinction granted to less than 2% of Family Law Practitioners.
