David L. Yewell

Helping families resolve their legal issues amicably is one of the reasons David L. Yewell enjoys his practice. As an attorney at Yewell Law, LLC, he handles family law cases that involve divorce and child custody. He also assists clients in Calhoun, Hartford, Owensboro and Henderson, Kentucky, with their estate planning and probate matters.

For more than 40 years, Mr. Yewell has steered clients through difficult and important decisions. He understands how sensitive the end of a marriage or making end-of-life choices can be. Taking a compassionate approach, Mr. Yewell listens to his clients’ concerns and develops a strategy that prioritizes their goals for the case. As a skilled litigator, he is prepared to go to the state or federal court when necessary, but he is also adept at reaching resolutions behind closed doors.

Mr. Yewell commits himself to each client, answering questions promptly and serving as a constant source of support. He builds a relationship with those he represents, which enables him to provide personal attention and a customized plan of action.

A member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Mr. Yewell is also involved with the Daviess County Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Foundation, the American Bar Foundation, the American Association for Justice and the Kentucky Justice Association. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Prior to earning a Juris Doctor in 1967, from the University of Kentucky College of Law, Mr. Yewell received a Bachelor of Arts from Transylvania University in 1964.
