A 1992 cum laude graduate of Western Kentucky University, Mr. Holtrey attended the University of Louisville's Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, where he was a Pirtle-Washer Moot Court Finalist and received the Edward M. Post Scholarship for National Moot Court Finalists.
He obtained his Juris Doctor in 1995, and the Kentucky Bar Association admitted him to practice the following year. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Westerns Districts of Kentucky, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
A leader in his field, Mr. Holtrey has published numerous articles and conducted lectures and seminars across his region on a variety of legal topics. He is also a member of the Kentucky Bar Association's Attorney Advertising Commission and former president of the Daviess County Bar Association.
Committed to his local community as well, Mr. Holtrey is the current chairman of the board for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He also volunteers his time to coach and mentor young athletes for several local basketball and softball leagues.
