Wynter Reneaux Collins

Focusing her practice exclusively on family law matters, Wynter Reneaux Collins is the managing member of Burbank & Collins, P.S.C. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, she provides assistance to clients throughout the state who are seeing their marriages coming to an end and who are having to grapple with such divorce-related issues as child custody and visitation, alimony, child support, and the division of complex assets and debts. Other family law matters that she has handled include adoptions and the enforcement of and modifications to existing divorce orders. She is one of the few family law attorneys who has experience in the niche area of the effect that a divorce involving horse owners has on their equine interests, and she has written an article on that topic that appeared in an American Bar Association publication.

Ms. Collins is the daughter of the late Virginia Collins Burbank who founded the firm in 1971 and who was a family law practitioner in her own right. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Kentucky, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 4th and 6th Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

A graduate of Georgetown University, where she majored in history and government and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1984, Ms. Collins then went on to attend the University of Kentucky College of Law in Lexington and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1987. Her affiliations include the American Association for Justice and the Kentucky Center for Public Issues.
