Brandi A. Barze devoted a significant portion of her practice to representing state agencies, commissions, and entities in premises liability, professional liability, general liability, and other civil rights litigation. Her principal areas of practice now include merchant and premises liability, automobile liability, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. Brandi practices in both state and federal courts. She was recently appointed to serve a two-year term as a delegate for the 19th Judicial District to the House of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association. She serves as an Assistant Examiner for the Louisiana Supreme Court Committee on Bar Admissions for Civil Code I and sits on the High School Mock Trial Committee of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
Brandi received her Juris Doctor and Degree in Comparative Law from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Brandi was a member of the LSU Law Board of Advocates, where she was inducted to the 2018 Order of the Barristers, a national graduation honor bestowed upon third-year students who exhibit superior persuasion, advocacy and brief-writing skills. During her law school tenure, Brandi competed on LSU Law’s Civil Rights team and took home first place in the Peter James Johnson National Civil Rights Trial Competition, defeating 15 other top trial advocacy programs in the United States. She also received a second-place award for Best Oral Advocate and competed as a semifinalist in the intra-school Ira S. Flory Trial Competition at LSU Law. Brandi received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and minors in Spanish, Psychology, and Sociology from Louisiana State University.
A native of Baton Rouge, Brandi enjoys traveling, reading, exercising and spending time with her son. Brandi brings a lot of litigation experience to Keogh Cox, and she is highly effective in formulating persuasive arguments to support her client’s position. Brandi is naturally compelling and focuses on resolving cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
