Christopher K. Jones

Christopher K. Jones is a partner at the Keogh Cox law firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He serves clients in the surrounding areas, offering them legal counsel on matters involving class actions/mass torts, civil litigation, commercial litigation and personal injury.

Representing plaintiffs and defendants in various multi-state, multi-district and individual litigation cases, Mr. Jones is renowned as an accomplished attorney. He has many years of experience handling litigation matters in both state and federal courts. Having spent more than two decades in the legal field, he has been the lead counsel in a number of class action cases, including those involving consumer protection, mass torts, natural disasters, contractual disputes, and tax-related matters. He has also advocated on behalf of several companies facing mass tort litigations, insurance claims and class actions.  He has significant experience with first party insurance claims, particularly those involving catastrophic property damage from natural disasters, including hurricanes, floods and fires, in addition to associated bad faith matters. 

After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Tulane University in 1999, Mr. Jones studied law at the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where was the recipient of the LSU Board of Supervisors Scholarship. Earning his law degree in 2002, he gained his license to practice in Louisiana the same year. Honored for his many achievements by the legal community, Mr. Jones is the recipient of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Pro Bono Award and the Baton Rouge Bar Association President's Award. He has also received the Judge Joseph Keogh Memorial Award and is listed among the Baton Rouge Business Report’s Top Forty Under 40 attorneys. Furthermore, he has been peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell. 

Active in his legal circle, Mr. Jones is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association.  He formerly served as President of both the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Chapter for the Federal Bar Association.
