Frank Tomeny, III

The founder of his eponymous law firm, Frank Tomeny, III focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he provides representation to clients throughout the greater metropolitan area and other parts of the state. Admitted to practice in Louisiana since 1987, Mr. Tomeny is also admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Louisiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has been certified in civil trial law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Mr. Tomeny assists people who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses as a result of the negligence of other parties. The types of cases that he has handled have arisen out of incidents involving truck and other motor vehicle crashes, dog bites, medical malpractice, premises liability, workplace accidents and defective products. Mr. Tomeny has been able to secure millions of dollars in compensation for his clients through both jury awards and negotiated settlements, and some of his representative results have included a $2.5 million settlement for a motor vehicle accident victim and a $1.5 million settlement of a product liability lawsuit. These and other successes have earned him a great deal of recognition from his colleagues, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, Mr. Tomeny has been named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 each year since 2012.

Mr. Tomeny is a 1986 graduate of Mississippi College School of Law. He sits on the board of governors of the Louisiana Association for Justice and is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association and several other professional organizations.
