Kathryn Jakuback Burke

Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kathryn Jakuback Burke is a dedicated attorney advocating for clients in matters pertaining to criminal defense, appeals, constitutional law and family law. Serving as a partner at Longman Jakuback, she counsels clients across Louisiana. She handles cases involving, but not limited to, divorce, child support, alimony, domestic violence, drug and alcohol violations, juvenile law, mediation and collaborative law, and expungement.

Upon graduating from Spring Hill College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Ms. Burke enrolled at Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center to hone her legal acumen. While at law school, she was an active participant in Moot Court and Trial Advocacy, skills that reflect her current practice. Her performance in competition and advocacy programs earned her a nomination for membership in the Wex Malone American Inn of Court. Initially working as an investigator at the East Baton Rouge Public Defender’s Office, she was sworn in as an attorney.

Earning her Juris Doctor in 2017, Ms. Burke was admitted to practice law in Louisiana in the same year. This exposure provided her with not only a comprehensive understanding of court procedures and legal intricacies but also fostered a tenacity that compels her to truly understand and advocate for the unique needs of each of her clients.
