Richard Sprinkle

A senior associate of Longman Jakuback, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Richard Sprinkle offers comprehensive legal representation to clients across the state. Mr. Sprinkle’s path to the legal profession is distinguished by both academic achievement and military service. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Marine Corps, where he participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. During his service, he earned numerous commendations, including the Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Naval Unit Citation and a Commanding General’s Certificate of Commendation. These experiences helped shape his resilience, leadership skills and commitment to service.

Following his military career, Mr. Sprinkle pursued higher education at The University of New Orleans, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, graduating magna cum laude in 2014. He then attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, earning his Juris Doctor. While in law school, he distinguished himself as the winner of the Robert L. Tullis Moot Court Competition and served as vice president of judicial relations for the Moot Court Board.

Admitted to practice in Louisiana in 2017, Mr. Sprinkle is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. He remains active in numerous professional organizations, including the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
