Tori S. Bowling is an attorney with Keogh Cox in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who represents local and national clients across admiralty and maritime, insurance defense, merchant and premises liability, construction and commercial litigation, labor and employment, industrial and oil field accidents, complex automobile collisions and catastrophic personal injury matters.
Advocating for insurers, merchants, contractors, businesses and individuals in both Louisiana state and federal courts, Ms. Bowling counsels clients from small, privately held firms to major national corporations facing multimillion‑dollar exposure. Her representative matters illustrate a broad commercial and casualty practice: defending national retail chains against patron liability claims; handling commercial and maritime litigation for a global catering company; representing insurers in complicated general liability, property and construction matters; and counseling businesses after catastrophic oil‑and‑gas incidents. She has secured multiple summary judgment rulings on behalf of clients, advancing favorable outcomes before trial.
Ms. Bowling approaches each matter with a focus on practical risk reduction and vigorous litigation when necessary. She is regularly involved from the earliest stages of a dispute – conducting pre‑suit fact workups and early intervention – through resolution or trial. Her courtroom roles have included first‑chairing trials and arguing motions, while her casework encompasses depositions, tailored discovery strategies and drafting persuasive briefs for mediations, bench and jury trials, and appeals. Clients cite her responsiveness and attentive listening as central to how she manages complex, high-stakes matters.
An active member of the legal community, Ms. Bowling holds memberships in the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. During law school, she served as vice president of the Moot Court Board and earned finalist honors in several moot court competitions, including recognition for best oral argument. She also has a “Very Good” rating on Avvo.
Ms. Bowling earned her J.D. from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2005 (Bachelor of Civil Law) after receiving a B.A. from LSU in 2002 with a major in mass communication and a concentration in public relations. She is admitted to practice in Louisiana and before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Western and Eastern Districts of Louisiana (2005), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit (2005) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (2020).
