Lauren A. Duncan

An associate attorney at The Truitt Law Firm LLC, which has offices in Covington and Metairie, Louisiana, Lauren A. Duncan practices law covering the fields of personal injury, wrongful death, employment law and family law with a special focus on civil, defense and insurance litigation. She serves the people in and around the surrounding counties of the New Orleans metropolitan area.

Ms. Duncan earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Georgia. She received her doctorate in jurisprudence from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2016. 

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Ms. Duncan was also admitted to practice law in Louisiana in 2016. She took her first step toward her legal career in her college days by working as a law clerk at various offices such as the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, the office of Chief Justice John L. Weimer of the Louisiana Supreme Court and private law firms. She handled a variety of legal proceedings during this tenure, which led her to take up the position of associate attorney soon after being licensed.

Along with the American Bar Association, Ms. Duncan has memberships in several other reputed legal associations, such as the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice, and the 21st and 22nd Judicial District Bar Associations.

Constantly mindful of each clients’ objectives, Ms. Duncan makes sure to understand all the aspects of the case at hand before strategizing a solution. She knows the plight of those caught up in legal battles, whether they’re with their employers, families or state authorities, and she strives to give them consistent support throughout their legal journeys.
