Leo J. Palazzo

Leo J. Palazzo is a trial attorney at Palazzo Law Firm located in Gretna, Louisiana. With three decades of experience practicing law, he serves clients throughout the New Orleans metro area. He focuses his practice on criminal defense and serious personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, products liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. He also takes on real estate closing matters. 

With a genuine concern for his clients, Mr. Palazzo is dedicated to advocating for those who are suffering because of injuries caused by another person’s negligence, and for those who are accused of wrongdoing. Many of his clients are referred to him by other lawyers, and he is well known as the "lawyer’s lawyer." He has obtained numerous favorable settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients as well as many dismissals and acquittals in criminal defense cases. 

Mr. Palazzo attended the University of New Orleans and received his Bachelor of Science degree. He then went on to pursue law at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and obtained his doctorate in jurisprudence. In law school, Mr. Palazzo served as the President of the Student Board and as a lead attorney in the American Trial Lawyers Association Trial Competition as a part of the Trial Advocacy Team.

In addition, Mr. Palazzo graduated from the Trial Lawyers College, Gerry Spence’s Thunderhead Ranch. Admitted to practice in all state and appellate courts in Louisiana, he is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court.
