Jackson T. Brown

Jackson T. Brown is a dedicated attorney at The Townsley Law Firm in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Born and raised in the same city, he is deeply rooted in the community. Experienced as a personal injury attorney, his practice also covers workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and social security. Mr. Brown's educational journey began at McNeese State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science, graduating cum laude in 2012. During his tenure at McNeese, he was an active president of the McNeese State University Pre-law and Politics Society. His academic achievements earned him a merit scholarship to Southern University Law Center, where he further honed his legal skills. Graduating magna cum laude in 2015, he was not only an editor of the school's law review but also served as a teacher's assistant, assisting professors and contributing to the academic community.

Returning to Southwest Louisiana was a conscious choice for Mr. Brown; he is committed to serving the people of this region and contributing positively to its community. His published work, "An Impartial Right: Louisiana’s Infringement of a Defendant’s Constitutional Right to a Bench Trial," in the Southern University Law Review, reflects his commitment to justice and legal erudition.

Mr. Brown is an active associate of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, including its Young Lawyers division since 2015. His dedication to law and his community makes him a valued member of the legal profession in Louisiana.
