Personal Experience:

Mike was injured in a car wreck. He has been in the shoes of a person injured in a wreck. He had multiple surgical procedures as a result. Mike fought the insurance company to a settlement that gave him top dollar for his injuries.

Trial and Litigation Experience:

Because not every case settles, Mike has extensive trial experience over the last 20 years. He tries cases across the country. He has won many multi-million cases and trials involving severe wrecks, traumatic brain injuries, and Jones Act claims. Mike forces insurance companies to pay his clients what they deserve. Mike’s extensive litigation experience includes arguing in the Supreme Court, which changed the interpretation of the statute of limitation to file an underinsured motorist claim and an uninsured motorist claim.

Mass Tort Litigation:

Mike’s also on the plaintiff steering committee in the Hard Rock Hotel collapse litigation. In this litigation Mike represents a large majority of the construction workers injured while escaping the hotel’s collapse. He’s not afraid to handle mass tort litigation involving over $100 million worth of claims. He’s also represented large and small businesses throughout the Gulf Coast who lost income as a result of the British Petroleum (BP) Oil Spill.

Commercial Litigation:

Mike’s extensive litigation experience also includes representing Fortune 500 companies in commercial litigation matters, complex litigation, and state and local tax litigation.

Hurricane Claims:

After Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, Ike, Isaac, Zeta, Helene, and Ida, Mike has represented small businesses as well as large corporations in their business income loss claims, property damage claims, and insurance claims. After these Hurricanes damaged houses, Mike Brandner has also represented homeowners throughout the Gulf Coast in their homeowner’s insurance claims, flood claims, content claims, and additional cost of living claims resulting from hurricane force wind damage and flooding.
