David A. Bowling

An attorney at The Bowling Law Firm, APLC, located in  New Orleans, LA  but also located in Gulfport, Mississippi, David A. Bowling provides legal representation to individuals in a wide range of complex civil matters. His practice encompasses personal injury litigation, with a focus on medical malpractice, hospital negligence and wrongful death claims, as well as cases involving motor vehicle and trucking accidents, premises liability and product liability. He also handles matters arising under admiralty and maritime law, including claims under the Jones Act, and represents clients in cases involving the Federal Employers’ Liability Act.

Mr. Bowling has handled a variety of high-stakes cases involving serious injuries and complex liability issues. His approach emphasizes thorough case preparation, detailed investigation and a commitment to advocating for clients who have been harmed due to negligence or misconduct. Over the course of his career, Mr. Bowling has developed experience across multiple jurisdictions, allowing him to effectively advocate for clients in both state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Mississippi, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and several U.S. District Courts in Mississippi and Louisiana.

Mr. Bowling obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy, graduating cum laude, from Millsaps College in 1980. He went on to attend Tulane University Law School, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1983. In that same year, he was admitted to the Louisiana bar.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Bowling maintains active involvement in professional organizations. He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates, as well as the Louisiana Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice and the New Orleans Bar Association.
