Gregory P. DiLeo, founding attorney and managing owner of the Law Offices of Gregory P. DiLeo, APLC, has served the New Orleans, Louisiana, community since the office's inception in 1980. A graduate of Louisiana State University Law Center, Mr. DiLeo's primary focus is advocating for the rights of victims of personal injury and property losses/hurricane-related damages. Mr. DiLeo's trial experience includes obtaining an expansion of personal injury damages before the state appellate courts. He successfully argued for the extension of mental anguish damages to uninjured victims of property damage who witnessed the destruction of their personal property.

  • On November 22, 2021, Mr. DiLeo obtained a mediation settlement in the amount of $2,500,000 for his client, Michelle Belleau., a 36-year-old single mother and casino server who was injured when Gustavo Montes, operating a vehicle for Command Construction caused a 4 car rear end collision on August 18, 2017, causing serious injuries to her head, clavicle, neck and back. In Belleau, et al v. The Gray Ins. Co. et al, No. 777-194 of the 24th Judicial District Court for the Parish of Jefferson, Ms. Belleau claimed damages for her injuries which resulted in several surgical procedures., 2021
  • On April 23, 2019, Mr. DiLeo obtained a settlement in the amount of $2.1 Million on behalf of a 38-year-old Buras, La heavy equipment operator who was injured in an intersectional collision with a company vehicle. In Mayberry v. Baskin, et al., docket no. 80-285 of the 29th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. Charles, Mr. Mayberry sustained major spinal injuries requiring surgery, with instrumentation and hardware, followed by another surgery to remove his hardware., 2019
  • On August 30, 2019, Mr. DiLeo won a jury verdict in the amount of $3,038,078.00 ($3.6M with judicial interest) for his client, Obadiah Stephenson, a 44-year-old Marrero house renovator, who was injured in a low-speed collision by an 18 wheeler owned and operated by Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. In Stephenson v. Hotard, et al., docket no. 2016-2900 of the Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans, Mr. Stephenson sustained major spinal injuries requiring surgery, with instrumentation and hardware, followed by extensive pain management, post-surgical epidural steroid injections and Rhyzotomies, which will have to be repeated for the foreseeable future., 2019
  • On February 5, 2021, Mr. DiLeo obtained a mediation settlement in the amount of $1,149,000 for his client, Robert Hills, a 61-year-old New Orleans, LA forklift operator, who was injured when Ricky Decanter, operating a 16 wheeler truck, owned by UFI Transportation, Inc., unexpectedly pulled away from a loading dock while plaintiff was still completing loading operations, causing the forklift to fall to the ground, and causing Mr. Hills serious injuries to his neck and back.
