Irvy E. Cosse, III

Irvy E. Cosse III is an attorney at Cossé Law Firm, LLC, a New Orleans, Louisiana-based personal injury firm serving clients in complex and high-stakes matters. He focuses his practice on personal injury, products liability, tire defect litigation and traumatic brain injury cases. With decades of courtroom experience, he has represented individuals in matters ranging from motor vehicle accidents to sophisticated product liability disputes, including cases involving some of the nation’s leading tire manufacturers.

Mr. Cosse’s legal foundation began at the Paul M. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University, where he earned his law degree. Before law school, he attended Southern Methodist University on an academic scholarship before returning to Louisiana State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in history with a minor in French. Early in his career, he practiced alongside his father for 19 years, an experience that gave him extensive exposure to litigation and courtroom advocacy.

Mr. Cosse is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Louisiana Association for Justice. He is licensed to practice throughout Louisiana and has been admitted pro hac vice in Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia. His bar admissions also include the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Among his professional distinctions, Mr. Cosse is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an organization whose membership is limited to attorneys who have served as lead counsel in cases resulting in significant monetary recoveries. His litigation experience includes matters involving Continental, Michelin, BF Goodrich and Cooper tire companies.
