Jacob K. Weixler

Jacob Weixler, of Weixler Law, LLC, in New Orleans, Louisiana, focuses his practice primarily on civil litigation, criminal defense, and civil rights law. He serves clients throughout the New Orleans metropolitan area.

Mr. Weixler has over a decade of legal experience and is a committed and passionate advocate for his clients. Over the course of his career, he has litigated civil and criminal cases at the state and federal levels. His practice spans a diverse range of issues and cases, and he provides effective and diligent representation to each client.

After earning a bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University, Mr. Weixler graduated from the University of Michigan Law School. He holds licenses to practice law in Louisiana, Florida and the District of Columbia, as well as before the federal courts of Louisiana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Following law school, Mr. Weixler practiced at a Washington, D.C., based international law firm, where he defended large companies against various charges on an international level. He later relocated to New Orleans and founded Weixler Law.

As a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Weixler has been involved in many significant cases, including two involving the release of individuals serving sentences for crimes they did not commit, or crimes committed when they were minors. Involved in his legal community, he belongs to the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
