Richard P. Voorhies, III

Richard P. Voorhies III is a Louisiana-based attorney and the esteemed founder of The Voorhies Law Firm, located in New Orleans. He primarily focuses his practice on personal injury and is dedicated to helping injured individuals get the compensation that they deserve for the pain that they had to endure. Throughout his career, he has worked to hold negligent parties responsible and accountable for their actions and has handled a wide range of cases, including:

Southern Louisiana has been Mr. Voorhies’ home since an early age, and he pursued most of his education here. He attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science in 2003. He was awarded the Crisler-Levine Best Paper Award for exceptional work in the paper within the political science department.

Later, Mr. Voorhies moved to Illinois to join one of the best law schools in the state, Loyola University School of Law in Chicago and graduated with honors, earning his Juris Doctor. He was part of the institution’s Moot Court Board and represented his university in national events.

Upon graduating, Mr. Voorhies began his career as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Dee D. Drell. In his role as a federal law clerk, he actively engaged in intricate litigation, and gained invaluable experience and knowledge across a spectrum of legal domains. He later returned to his hometown to practice law there and uphold the integrity of the legal system.

After practicing law for a couple of years, Mr. Voorhies decided to establish his own firm to provide steadfast representation to all those who seek justice, and thus The Voorhies Law Firm was founded in 2010.
